Dipping Since 4/2023

Going into the cold water with community is bonding, healing, with  outdoor meditation. Any anxiety, ADHD, anything issues I'm struggling with are gone as I come out of the water. The calm and focus I feel after a dip is powerful and long lasting. Connecting with others, in combination with dipping, is truly beautiful and keeps bringing me back. We are continually choosing ourselves and each other, while doing this exhilarating & meaningful practice!

Each morning before work I take a walk, followed by a quick 2 or 3 minute cold shower. I have been doing this for about a year and half walk & cold shower. I grew up jumping in the cold waters of Lake Tahoe & Donner, the love of cold water ingrained.

In May of 2021, I joined a cold plunge community which has a stand meeting each Sunday, at 7am. We swim out to check out the views while checking in with each other. The regular cold exposure has greatly helped my anxiety and improved my adhd. Dipping with the community has opened up new and meaningful friendships and built such a support network! I have come to treasure these women and it has deepened my cold exposure practice.
